TTS Design Practice

The TTS Design Practice was founded to help administrative and academic divisions and departments achieve new levels of excellence in the planning and execution of their missions and to help ensure that Tufts University is solving the right problems while maintaining a focus on optimal solutions. The Design Practice leverages Design Thinking methodologies for innovation, strategic planning, service and user experience design, leadership and staff retreats, and Team Science support for interdisciplinary teams and grant-funded projects.

Design Corps

Design Corps at Tufts is a collaborative community of practice that crosses departmental boundaries and roles to share information and learn together. Our shared goal is to promulgate design thinking mindsets and methodologies, prepare our teams to solve (the right) problems and realize better experiences, and foster durable collaborative relationships. We meet once a month with varied programming including demonstration of design methods, review of case studies, and discussion of industry trends. Membership is open to faculty, staff, and students of Tufts University.

Community of Practice

Our work has not been done in a vacuum. We have collaborated with and built on the success of many other groups at Tufts including the programs in Engineering Psychology and Human Factors Engineering, and the Gordon Institute along with student involvement at many levels.
